Endemika Records + Ooh La La

Earlier this year I met a young dude from London named Harvey Tatsu Jones with an interesting story and wild taste in music. He is from Japan, lived in Santiago for 8 years, and is now based in London. Talk about world traveller! We got to talking and found we had similar taste in music. I would now introduce you to his label: ENDEMIKA

We’ve decided to collaborate on some playlists and share each other’s music across the pond. I’ve picked some personal favorites from his catalog and created a playlist on SoundCloud to showcase the awesome production and Harvey’s amazing taste. Check out the tunes and and let me know what you think by re-sharing, favoriting, and commenting on the playlist.

In-Flight Safety premiered the lyric video to their new single, “Animals,” exclusively on Gigwise this week! The track comes off their upcoming album, Conversationalist, due out this Fall!

The ten tracks on Conversationalist balance the light and the dark that is In-Flight Saferty. You’ve got guitar hooks that will get stuck in your head and make you want to dance all night, but the imagery is more mysterious. IT can be raw and haunting, but always uplifting with rich, thoughtful productions that’s anything but indie. Mixed by Gus Van Go (The Stills, Hollerado) in Brooklyn, NY, Conversationalist is crafted with meticulous attention to detail. There’s beauty in opposites and this record is both pragmatic and ethereal, it builds and burns, leaving you wanting more. It’s a love letter and a breakup in one album.

Go Wolf Releases OFFICIAL Music Video For “Talk To You”

Watch the OFFICIAL Music Video For “Talk To You” Below!

“The song has a fun, fresh feel to it, we wrote it really quickly and love playing it live. We wanted to get that across in the video, so we basically got all our friends to sing along to it in the studio and express themselves however they wanted. We love how it turned out!” -Scott Jamison of Go Wolf

“Talk To You” Available on iTunes

A week after the release of Go Wolf’s new single, “Talk To You,” the band releases the OFFICIAL music video! Premiered on PopMatters, the video features some of Go Wolf’s fans and friends jamming along to the “bouncy, summer ready” track.

The Go Wolf origin story is almost too perfectly arty to be true: a poetry night in a Belfast barbershop.  Chris enjoys Scott’s poem and notices their similar dress sense. Outside afterwards, a stranger notices the same thing. They start talking and decide to form a band. With the addition of Steve on drums and some killer songs, the trio have quickly become one of the most talked about names in the Belfast scene

Full of style, charisma and a dedication to perfectly pure pop, the band have already supported the likes of The 1975, CSS, and London Grammar. This Thursday (8/21/14), Go Wolf will add to that roster as they play with Bastille and The Killers at Tennent’s Vital!

Following the release of “One More Night” earlier this summer, Go Wolf is back with a brand new single entitled “Talk to You.” A week ahead of it’s August 12th release, the track was premiered today on Consquence of Sound!

The Go Wolf origin story is almost too perfectly arty to be true: a poetry night in a Belfast barbershop. Chris enjoys Scott’s poem and notices their similar dress sense. Outside afterwards, a stranger notices the same thing. They start talking and decide to form a band. With the addition of Steve on drums and some killer songs, the trio have quickly become one of the most talked-about new names in the Belfast scene.

Full of style, charisma and a dedication to perfectly pure pop, the band have already supported the likes of The 1975CSS and London Grammar, while frontman Scott has turned his considerable production chops to remixes for the likes of Ed Zealous and Ryan Vail. Like all the best partnerships, there’s a tangible creative tension between Scott and Chris, and it results in wonderfully realized pop music. Wallow in the sumptuous single “Voices”, a synth- pop confection as sophisticated as Phoenix and as intimate as The xx. Or see them live, where their infectious, rhythmic tunes recall the likes of Talking Heads and Little Dragon. Go Wolf are all about artful pop music that is simple, sensual and powerful.

OOH LA LA RECORDS: VIDEO ARTIST SERIES #18

At long last, we have the epic conclusion to Robotic Raptor‘s ‘Hot Sauce’ trilogy that has taken over the Ooh La La Video Artist Series for the past couple months. Speaking on the new video, which is set to Tropic of Pisces’ “They Count”, Director Erick Fix says “This is the final chapter of our story. The initial feeling for this song was loss and destruction. The girl, jealous of the boy’s love for his hot sauce, hurts him the best way she knows how.” Watch the story unfold below, and incase you missed it, watch Part 1 and Part 2 as well!

OOH LA LA RECORDS: VIDEO ARTIST SERIES #18

The hot sauce is back!

We absolutely loved Robotic Raptor‘s last Video Artist Series segment, showcasing the friendship between a young boy and a bottle of hot sauce. We loved it even more when they came back to us with another installment in the epic saga, and couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all today. Director Erick Fix says of the video, “This song felt like an odd love story and was the inspiration for making the protagonist an inanimate object. The boy, now a man, lives with his best friend (hot sauce). All is well until there is competition for his affection.” Stream the video below, and enjoy!

OOH LA LA RECORDS: VIDEO ARTIST SERIES #17

The newest installment of the Ooh La La Records Video Artist Series comes courtesy of the Robotic Raptor crew. Set to Tropic of Pisces‘ “Symmetry”, this video gives a glimpse into the oddly sweet friendship between a boy and a bottle of Hot Sauce. Director Erick Fix said of the video, “We wanted to tie our three pieces together into one cohesive story fitting with the emotional tone of each song. This song felt nostalgic to us, like remembering the start of an old friendship”. Enjoy the video below!
