We couldn’t be more excited about this brand new video for The Last Royals‘ song “Only The Brave.” The video was recorded right here in NYC by film making team Think/Feel and the good people over at Paste have the exclusive premiere.  Don’t wait a moment longer and GO WATCH!

“Only The Brave” is available now on iTunes, and will be on The Last Royals‘ debut full-length Twistification, out on January 8, 2013 on Ooh La La Records.

Ooh La La Official CMJ Showcase!

We are very excited to announce our very first official CMJ showcase!  It will take place on Tuesday, October 16 (that’s right, its a CMJ kickoff party!) at The Studio @ Webster Hall.  We have an immaculate lineup, and some complimentary beverages as well!  There will be a straight rye whiskey tasting, courtesy of our friends at Whistle Pig.

Doors open at 7:00pm and bands play until 1:00am.  The Jane Doze will be DJing for the rest of the night from there on out, as well as in between sets, so bring your dancing shoes.  It’s gonna be a long, fun night.

The lineup, from opener to closer is as follows: Starlight Girls, Ace Reporter, Gospels, Born Cages, The Last Royals & Ambassadors.

Also, there will be an extremely limited run of hand-screened 18″ x 24″ artist-series posters available for sale at the show (seen above).  The posters were designed and screen printed by the fine folks at HAM.

We’re really proud and excited about this, and certainly hope to see you there.  All badges get in free all night, and non badge holders can purchase tickets here.  Come find us at the show!

The Last Royals new EP available now!

The Last Royals‘ brand new three song EP is available on all digital outlets TODAY!  This is a bit of a teaser for their new record Twistification that comes out early next year.  This EP features the tracks “Crystal Vases,” “Only The Brave,” and “Friday Night.”  Click here to get your very own copy on iTunes.  They have also announced a slew of shows for CMJ this year, make sure pop in for at least one of them if you’re in town for all of the tomfoolery.  Speaking of CMJ, we’ll be announcing all of the details of our showcase shortly, so keep an eye out for that as well.  We’ll buy you a drink.

White Arrows Update

Well, there are a lot of fun and exciting things going on with our boyz in White Arrows, so we figured we might as well give you a little update! First of all they’re headed back out on the road, covering the US again, and this time they’re teaming up with Family Of The Year, Maps & Atlases and Young Buffalo (dates below). Second of all, there’s a fun new “Roll Forever” remix by Teen Daze floating around the internets that we’re enjoying greatly (stream/download directly below). And lastly, there’s a cool video on YouTube of White Arrows covering Fleetwood Mac‘s “Save Me A Place” in Boston this past summer (above). The fun thing about that song is its the b-side on the Get Gone 7″ that’s available in our web store! How’s that for an update??

Every once in a while there’s an ad on TV that really catches your eye, and for once, watching a commercial doesn’t annoy you!  Here is a perfect example of this phenomenon.  We’ll watch Kaki King abuse a guitar in beautiful ways all day.  Sure beats every beer commercial we’ve ever seen.
