Bio

LONGFELLOW live in South London. ‘Prelude’ is an early-career-defining mini-album that contextualizes a hectic first year for this fresh-faced band of early twenty-somethings.

On June 11th 2013 Longfellow played their debut show at the Highbury Buffalo Bar for Club Fandango. The subsequent trio of singles were released: ‘Gabrielle’ (self released), ‘Siamese Lover’ (released on Label Fandango) and ‘Kiss-Hug-Make Up’ (launched in May on Fierce Panda). ‘Prelude’ throws in the B-sides to the singles (‘May The Light’, ‘The Convent’ and ‘Wolf Cry’), and adds a few band favorites with ‘Lullaby’ and ‘Polaroid’ mixed by Ooh La La Records producer/founder Theo Aronson, who will be releasing ‘Prelude’ stateside on July 14th, 2014.

Last Halloween Longfellow supported Keane at a special birthday show at Tunbridge Wells Forum. ‘Siamese Lover’ has been heartily endorsed by Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6 Music, Jo Whiley on Radio 2, and the band was nominated BBC Introducing Band Of The Week by Huw Stevens on Radio 1. The band plans to tour this fall and are plotting a debut album for launch in 2015.

Longfellow may or may not be "the next Coldplay", but one thing is for certain, as evidenced by its new video for the song "Polaroid": these guys do Coldplay a lot better than Coldplay. Pop Matters
